The beautiful rebellion of joy for joy's sake
While I woke up Monday morning with an entirely different subject matter for this entry in mind, I must say, this week & my brain had other plans for us. Perhaps it’s the manic weather finally leveling out or the blanket of joyful energy enveloping the city post-Knicks win, but the air is feeling a bit sweeter this week. Lighter even. Admittedly (& unsurprisingly) I am not a sports person, nor even a band-wagoner, but I am infinitely open to catch a positive vibe wherever possible.

I just came off a 12-day childcare-free stint directly into a two-day shoot, directly into at least one and a half sick children and, potentially, an earache. Does anyone else begin exhibiting symptoms the second someone near them so much as clears their throat? Is my father’s Larry David-esque old Jewish man hypochondria finally revealing itself within me? Concerning? Yes. Inevitable? Also, yes.
